David runs and operates Buttercream Cakes, a special-occasion bakery near Minneapolis. Just as the shop was gearing up for a busy wedding season, shelter-in-place put a hold on orders. He is still doing curbside tastings and pickups, but is missing the business from weddings, proms, graduations, and restaurants.
He is feeling reassured by his relationships with other vendors in the events industry and is focused on coming back strong in the fall.
For his Built By Business project, David baked and decorated cakes and donated them to healthcare workers and first-responders in his community.
