A brief history of ERGO NEXT
NEXT Insurance was founded in 2016 by Guy Goldstein, Alon Huri and Nissim Tapiro after they experienced the pain of buying small business insurance firsthand: slow quotes, confusing policies and expensive one-size-fits-all options that weren’t built for small businesses.
They created NEXT to provide fast, affordable and tailored coverage made for the way real small businesses work. Today our global team of insurance experts helps more than 750,000 U.S. small businesses across more than 1,300 professions.
In 2025 we started a new chapter when ERGO Group, one of Europe’s leading insurers and a subsidiary of Munich Re, acquired NEXT. The move from NEXT Insurance to ERGO NEXT Insurance reflects that partnership and our place within the international group.
As a result of the acquisition, we have a financial strength rating of A+ (Superior) by AM Best, the world’s most widely recognized credit rating agency for the insurance industry.
