About you

Next Insurance seeks a design leader committed to craft, brand building, and leading a team of designers. If you love systems, typography, layouts, colors, marks, secondary marks then we’d love to hear from you. If you love people, fostering, mentoring, and leading by example then we’d love to hear from you. 

 

You are a visual storyteller and have worked hard for the last 9 years to refine your understanding of design, creative execution, and visual communication.

 

As a creative leader in the department, you’ll be expected to push the boundaries of creativity and the abilities of those around you to find new and unexpected ways to drive customer engagement.

 

Enjoy designing together! You are passionate about using collaborative methods as a part of the design process, to encourage idea generation and shared decision making among designers and partners

Responsibilities:

Conduct a full brand refresh, including logo revision/secondary mark, lockups and location of use on various formats, color palette and typography systems

Propose new directions for Next’s illustration and photography

Oversee the design system’s implementation across the company’s advertising assets

Oversee the design of high-quality emails for our nurture campaigns for driving conversion

Work with product to support their needs across the website

Work with Partnerships to develop agent collateral

Desired Skills and Experience:

9+ years of experience developing strategic brand and creative design at a leading creative agency and/or a rapidly growing startup

Ability to hire, foster and lead designers

A portfolio that shows strong strategic and conceptual campaign thinking applied across a range of deliverables, including web, digital, and social

Ambitious design vision, including strong typography, layout and color sensibilities

Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote and Slides

Strong collaborator who partners to drive the best results for the company

Attention to detail with a high bar, balanced with an ability to achieve speed to market
