Partner Evolution Manager

Despite the size of the market, the experience of buying small business insurance has not caught up with best practices instituted in other industries like banking, lending, and even personal lines insurance. There is still a lot of paper involved, purchasing a policy can take days or even weeks, and the coverage is so complex that it’s hard for entrepreneurs to understand what they are buying. We're here to change that. Our goal is to make insurance simple, affordable, and transparent for small businesses so they can stop worrying about insurance and focus on running their businesses.

We're looking for a talented, adaptive Partner Evolution Manager to join our team. Our Partner Evolution team focuses on working with Agency (Wholesaler and Retail) partners to make our products available to small businesses who choose to purchase via an agent. This channel has become an increasingly significant part of our business – and we aim to deliver great value and phenomenal service to customers through Agency partners, just as we do for our direct customers.

In this role, you will help us bring “the best of Next” to our Agents and Wholesale Partners, build strategies to help support their evolution with Next, assist in designing internal workflows and programs to support our partners, and meet the growth and development targets for Agent and Wholesale partnerships in your portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Be a thought partner for building processes and best practices for the direct and indirect support of our external agents.

Assist in the buildout and reporting of metrics associated with the success of your partners.

Host monthly webinars for our partner community.

Develop a deep understanding of the needs and requirements for each partner brought into your portfolio.

Design a relationship growth strategy for each partner you manage, encompassing the full lifecycle from onboarding to renewal.

Respond to all partner inquiries within specified SLAs.

Become an expert in our books of business and determine what will drive our partners to evolve their relationships with us.

Identify and communicate common pain points and missing functionalities for the partners you’re working with.

Collaborate with Analytics, Compliance, Technical Product Manager, and Insurance Product Manager teams to help create, implement, and optimize for our partners’ long term success.

Facilitate manual administrative functions that support our partners (i.e. data uploads for new partnerships) while we work to design long-term automated infrastructure for these tasks.

Desired Skills and Experience:

BA/BS degree from a top university

1-3 years of experience with account management in a startup environment

Must be able to travel on occasion (as soon as that is safe in the public health landscape)

Demonstrated ability to lead a decision or idea from inception through implementation

Excellent written and verbal skills

Preferred: Experience with Tableau & Insurance industry experience
